Getting Here

We can be found on Google Maps as External link opens in new tab or windowMeadow Lake Fishing Camp. If you are flying in, we can pick you and your friends up and drop you off at Kamloops Airport for a small fee (gas money). If you have any other questions about how to get here, just External link opens in new tab or windowask us!

Mosquitoes

We recommend bringing a can of bug spray for your hikes and for a pleasant fishing experience. All cabins have screened windows. Mosquito time is from mid June to end of July.  They can be bad but just remember - no bugs, no fish!

Clothing & Weather

At Meadow Lake, we are about 4500 feet above sea level, the temperature can vary widely. Warm clothing is recommended for the cool evenings, and pack lighter layers for outings during the day when the sun is shining. It can get quite hot, especially in a boat on a lake. Finally, it never hurts to pack rain gear!

June is full of surprises. We have seen sun, heat, snow, hail, rain, you name it, sometimes all in one day.

July and August are pretty stable (but do not count on it).

September is still warm but towards the end of the month it turns into June again.

If you are checking the weather to plan your trip, please search for Bridge Lake on External link opens in new tab or windowThe Weather Network's website, as that is the closest region to us that is reported on. The temperature at Meadow Lake will often be approximately 3 degrees cooler than the temperature listed for Bridge Lake.

Tackle

There is a External link opens in new tab or windowFly ShoExternal link opens in new tab or windowp in Little Fort with a large range of fishing gear and lots of tips as to what to use at what time of the year. The staff (Steve & Brad) there are very knowledgeable.

We have had guests who caught Wall Fish (over 4 lbs) with both flatfish with a spinning rod and with fly fishing gear.

We carry an assortment of flies up in camp (a bit cheaper than at the Fly Shop, a variety of colours, sizes 8 and 10) that work really well in our lakes.

But the best tips come from our guests. We still enjoy guests that have been coming to our camp for over 20+ years who are incredibly knowledgable and typically happy to share tips.
